I was living and working in Darmstadt Germany, I worked at the Auto Craft Shop next to the movie theater and I also was a DJ at the clubs on CFK. Very nice site you have. I worked on CFK until they closed. It was a very sad time, I will miss it always.

I was in A Co. 440th 1/75 - 9/77 I knew Franco, Molina, CPT Murphy, Shy, SFC Rhodes, Streeter, Chavando, and more. The guy with the glasses and the German girl, he was the A Co mail Clerk. A lot of great pix on your site. I went to Ft Ord B/127, then back to Germany A/141 but I got hurt, blew my knee out, and the Army, with it's infinite wisdom made me retire. I still made E-6 as a 31M with 948 points! I was in the civil service, went and finished the BA; am now in grad school to get a masters in education so I can teach high school. See these folk brought it all back. Thanks.

Thanks for putting up your website. I was a member of HHB 32nd AADCOM from '78 through '80. I knew a guy who was 440, but for the life of me I can't remember his name. Your photo of Cheetum made me think of him. Your photos of CFK brought back a lot of memories, especially Gino's Pizza just outside the gate, and the little uniform shop next door where we used to get our patches and name tags sewn on. I'm glad you got a shot of the little theatre too. I can't remember the first movie I saw there. Take care, and I hope others find your site.

Hi, I was stationed there briefly from October 1976 to January 1977. I was a 72G10 stationed at the TADS I, 440th Signal Battalion. The short time I was there I had a wonderful time. They sent me and 2 other guys to the 26th Signal Battalion, Heilbronn, Germany at Wharton Barracks Kaserne. This really took me back. I was only 18 years old at the time and had the fun of a life time in Darmstadt. Thanks for the memories.
